One Shore Street in The Gloss Magazine
One Shore Street, Donaghadee — as featured in The Gloss Magazine
We were recently included in The Gloss Magazine’s round-up of captivating coastal hotels — distributed with The Irish Times. It’s a list we’re glad to be on, and a nice bit of recognition for what we’ve tried to build here on the Donaghadee seafront.

“The minimalist, Scandi-inspired One Shore Street is a boutique guest house on the Donaghadee seafront in Co Down. Steps from the front door is a charming harbour.”

The feature highlights a few of the things that make Donaghadee worth the trip: the Groomsport Walk along the coast, and the National Trust gardens at Mount Stewart a short drive away. We’d add the harbour itself — which is genuinely one of the better places to start a morning — and the fact that the town has enough to keep you occupied without ever feeling like it’s trying too hard.
There’s something to be said for a place that doesn’t need a lot of explaining.
One Shore Street has always been about the details — the rooms, the light, the quiet. We don’t do a lot of shouting about it, so when a feature like this comes along, it’s appreciated.
If you’ve been thinking about a stay and this nudges you along, availability can be checked and bookings made directly on the website below — no third-party platforms, no added fees.
